Is this course right for me? This class is for students who wanna experience wheel throwing and wanna learn about wedging, centering clay and throwing small vessels. What materials will be provided? Students will be provided with a half bag clay each (5kg) to enable completion of several vessels. If needed additional clay may be purchased at cost. You will be able to use our pottery tools and professional wheels during the workshop. Materials You will need to bring:
• an apron
• your mask& cloves
Tip: wear old closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes you are relaxed about getting clay on. For wheel throwing, best to wear comfortable pants/trousers as you will sit close to the wheel as you throw. Persons with long nails are advices to cut them prior wheel throwing.
Clay Firing & Glazing Bisque firing and glazing is not included in this fee. If you wanna bisque and after glaze your finished pieces its possible at the fire schedule of A-CPA at additional charges of AED 50,- ($ 15,-) per item. Works made outside of A-CPA are not able to be fired in our kiln. MY private class sizes are kept small, ensuring you receive the individual tuition you need.
Unless otherwise noted, all tools as clay during A-CPA ceramic workshops will be supplied and are included in your fees, however do please review course description carefully.
