What you'll learn
Participants will learn the basics of wheel throwing techniques for creating pottery.
These sessions will introduce you to entering, pulling, trimming and shaping clay on the wheel.
You will also learn how to use different tools, how to prepare your clay, tips on structure and design.
Participants will learn how to trim their pottery and create basic and advanced forms.

Hand building is a great place to start if you are new to ceramics and clay, especially if you are inclined towards exploration and thinking outside the box. During your trial session, you will have the chance to try out the basic techniques and learn about the overall ceramic process.Â
This course is for students with a little or none wheel throwing experience. It will provide a skillset on learn techniques such as jugs and mugs. Practice working with larger amounts of clay, throwing and refining forms of different shapes and sizes.
This workshop is a beginner friendly introduction to throwing on the wheel — great for complete beginners! You will learn the basics including wedging, centering and pulling up the walls to make cylinders, bowls & cups. We will work with you at your level and improve your throwing abilities.
