HABC Level 3 International Award in Paediatric First AID
DurationPaediatric First aid course provides a greater level of depth in the theoretical and practical training of First Aid techniques that are specific to infants to the onset of puberty. Candidates will become familiar with the role of the paediatric first aider and be able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency situation. This includes theoretical and practical use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
What will they learn? (Paediatric First aid)
Know basic emergency first aid requirements like Principles that underpins the emergency first aid support. International Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of a Defibrillator and be able to demonstrate basic emergency first aid techniques in line with current guidelines, Describe the differences between using an AED on an adult and child.
