- Introduction to Gantry Cranes
- Hazards related to Gantry crane operations
- Inspection of lifting equipment before operation.
- Identifying and establishing the correct slings or lifting equipment to use
- Locating the centre of gravity of the load
- Attaching tag lines
- Correct hand signals for hoisting and moving a load
- Safe operating procedures for lifting or shifting a load
- Correct placing and unhooking of a load
Assessment: Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor
Observation: A practical exercise concludes the course.
Certificate: NAJMA certificate of attendance, valid for 2 years, issued on completion of the assessment.
