Strategic Analysis - the ability to understand an organisation’s environmental and competitive landscape and apply critical and analytical thinking thereof;
Strategic Marketing and Leadership - the ability to bring vision, understand marketing strategy, lead teams and measure marketing performance in a highly global marketplace;
Implementation - the ability to respond strategically to the changing needs of consumers through the development of a range of traditional and digital, customer-centered strategies.

Practical learning from experienced marketeers and researchers
The programme emphasises practical hands-on application of knowledge. Through the Practitioner Perspectives module, the programme offers you a unique practitioner focused learning experience, including a week-long residential programme. You will gain a practical and applied perspective of the marketing discipline through the engagement with industry partners.
The project combines workshops from managers at Google, Facebook and Twitter and allows students to work in syndicate groups to discuss, disseminate and present their strategic thinking based upon the information provided throughout the week.
The MSc Strategic Marketing programme will help students with no or limited knowledge of marketing to develop and advanced level of understanding of key strategic marketing theories, frameworks and tools. The programme is also designed to equip marketing professionals with the knowledge and skills to apply this knowledge to complex strategic issues based on leading research and practice in the field. The programme has been designed to allow students to select from a range of optional modules to align with their own professional aspirations.
This programme is offered in Full-time (lasting 1 year) and Part-time (2 years) study modes and will consist of six compulsory modules, two optional modules and a research project. Compulsory core taught modules and other optional modules are worth 15 credits each and taught over a term, with the final research project carrying 60 credits. Taught modules will contain a mix of assessment components, both summative and formative. These might include in-class tests, computer-based assignments, essays, case studies, group presentations and assignments.
The programme aims to prepare you for successful employment by encouraging the development of a range of knowledge and skills that will enable you to work effectively, both collaboratively and individually.
