Course Description 

This course covers the basics of high performance liquid chromatography. All of the currently available HPLC components from the pumps to the detectors will be discussed. Routine and easy maintenance of these components to prevent problems will be taught. Troubleshooting to find out the problems are shown as they arise will also be shown – whether they are the fault of the system or the column. The modes of chromatography and their related columns and mobile phases used for various applications will be discussed.

Course Objective:

The difference in the column chemistries and their importance will be shown. Most applications shown will deal with the reversed phase mode, since it is the most used today. Basic column care and cleaning and use of protector columns will be discussed also they give optimum life and reproducibility. Selected applications will be shown to point out dos and don’ts. The use of the internet to help start the method development process for a new separation will be shown.

Course Certificate:

MASTERS will issue attendance certificates to all attendees after attending the course duration.
