Hair Styling Diploma Course

This is a Hair Styling program that will teach you how to dress your hair and it is recommended for make-up artists with the need to have hairstyles knowledge for different opportunities in the media and fashion industry.

Syllabus:

• Hygiene and Safety
• Equipment use and description
• Basic Hair Chemistry
• Product training
• Basic Blow Drying techniques
• Plaits - Three Strand, French and Fish Tail
• Hair Straightening
• Roller set and Root movement theory
• Advanced Blow Drying to create root lift and curl
• Pin curl and Rag sets
• Hair finishing and texturizing
• Tonging / electrical curling
• The Perfect Pony Tail
• Preparation for putting hair up
• Twisting and pinning hair
• Back combing/brushing
• Dressing long hair - Chignon, Classic bun
• Beehive hair style
• Hair Assessment
• Types of hair pins and correct use

Note: After completing these sessions, all students are required to complete a portfolio and appear for an exam which must be passed at 80% in order to gain your qualification.

For evaluating the students, an external examiner will come from London for theory and practical tests.
