This course is designed to assist food establishments to increase the knowledge of their employees in the hygienic operation in food production with the utmost aim of ensuring the supply of safe and wholesome food at all times especially for implementing GHP, HACCP, ISO etc.
What is HACCP?
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a management system designed to analyze the most significant hazards within a food business, and implement rigorous controls at the points where these can result in unsafe food, and therefore are critical to safety.
HACCP is the international standard for food safety management. It is a requirement of international trade (i.e. export) and an increasing part of national legal requirements around the globe.
Aim
It is important for all food companies to train the food handlers adequately to assure the production and delivery/serving of safe food to consumers. These courses are designed to assist food establishments to increase the knowledge of their employees in the hygienic operation in food production with the utmost aim of ensuring the supply of safe and wholesome food at all times, especially for implementing GHP, HACCP, ISO etc.
Requirements
Participants must at least have Food safety knowledge about Food Safety in Manufacturing / Catering. Participants must have a HACCP Level 3 Certificate for enrolling in HACCP level 04.
Approvals and Certifications
HACCP Training Level 3 & 4 Intermediate has a 5-year Certificate validity certified by TSI Quality
Objective
The objective of the qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge to implement an appropriate food safety management system based on HACCP principles.
Target Audience
This qualification is aimed at learners who are working at a management level in a catering or retail business or are members of the HACCP team. It would also be useful for trainers, auditors, enforcers and other food safety professionals involved in catering or retailing operations. It gives learners the skills to assist in the implementation of a HACCP system, to critically evaluate HACCP plans and to understand the importance of having an effective HACCP system in place in a catering business.
