Pre-Requisites:
- 16 years of age or above
- It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English and Maths.
Progression:
You may wish to continue your qualification after this level via the following signposted qualifications/training:
- HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW) (QCF)
- HABC First Aid at Work (FAW) at SCQF Level 6
- HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid Response
- HABC Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF)
- HABC Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF)
Outline:
- First aider roles and responsibilities
- Assessing an accident
- Managing unresponsive casualty
- Assisting a casualty who is choking, or with a minor injury/external bleeding/shock
Certification:
- HABC Accredited with 3 years validity
