- Hazards related to Gantry crane operations
- Inspection of lifting equipment before operation.
- Identifying and establishing the correct slings or lifting equipment to use
-Correct location for attaching equipment to the load
- Locating the centre of gravity of the load
- Attaching taglines
- Correct hand signals for hoisting and moving a load
- Safe operating procedures for lifting or shifting a load
- Correct placing and unhooking of a load
Assessment: Assessment: Delegates are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.
Certificate: NAJMA certificate of attendance, valid for 2 years, issued on completion of the assessment.
