The purpose of this safety training is to outline how each department and crown corporation will practice for emergency situations.
DurationPeople's performance during an emergency is only as good their basic level of training. Therefore, practice is critical for effective performance in a real emergency. The purpose of this procedure is to outline how each department and crown corporation will practice for emergency situations.
The evacuation drill has three purposes:
- Getting people to adopt safe behaviour in the event of a fire or a life-threatening incident
Nature of the Training:
Evacuation drills will be planned by our manager and Building Warden who is responsible for the area/building/workplace.
Evacuation drills will involve all staff and visitors. Everyone must leave the building when the fire alarm sounds unless otherwise notified by the Building Warden that it is a test of the fire alarm system only.
The DM/President/Senior Manager will report details of the evacuation drills to the Executive Committee for any follow-up action.
The final report will be placed in a file maintained by the Building Warden.
Note:
- Course Duration: Depends on site. (includes pre-briefing /drill/post briefing)
- Observation: A practical exercise concludes the course.
Certificate: NAJMA certificate of attendance, valid for 01 year, issued On completion of the assessment.
