Course Details

This workshop is designed to teach the participants the required thinking, processes and procedures which goes into handling all shipments which are categorised as 'dangerous goods' as per the handling rules stipulated in the IATA DGR Manual.

It includes operational restrictions, legal requirements, marking, labelling, packaging instructions, documentation etc. 

Objectives:

- Interpreting IATA DGR manual Responsibilities of operator and shipper 
- State and operators’ variations
- Limitations Excepted and limited quantities  
- Classification and identification
- Shipment of radioactive materials
- Packaging, marking, and labelling requirements 
- Air waybill
- Loading, storage and inspection and emergency procedures 
- Notification to Captain
- Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods
