Arabic Language Course

This course refers to the communicative Arabic language. It covers the basic tools of communication in Arabic language. This course will be taught in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) with the touch of local dialect to meet the need of non-native speakers in their day to day life.

Listening and speaking will be focused as it will cover the recognition of alphabets, common words, understanding the peculiar sounds and reproducing the phrases correctly in different situations. Interaction with the teacher and students will be the best tool to develop the speaking skill. 

Course Objectives:

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

• 1. Recognize Arabic alphabets with its peculiar sounds.

• 2. Comprehend the Arabic words and phrases

• 3. Reproduce the Arabic words and phrases correctly

• 4. Read and write simple Arabic text correctly

• 5. Have a good number of vocabularies.

• 6. Communicate with Arabic-speaking people in any situation.

Level 1

• Recognizing the Arabic alphabets with its different shapes; initial, medial and final.

• Vowels, heavy and light letters, pronunciation

• Reading and writing simple words

• Writing the correct words

• Speaking the most common sentences for the daily usage; greeting, asking for and giving the specific information.

Level 2

• Noun and pronouns

• Demonstrative Pronouns

• Knowing directions, time, days of the week,

• Comprehending the spoken words

• Speaking correct sentences

• Vocabulary building 

Level 3

• Comprehending the complex sentences.

• Understanding and applying the pattern and structure of Arabic sentences.

• Nominal and verbal sentences

• Learning verbs; past, present and future

Level 4

• Comprehending and re-writing the paragraphs

• Vocabulary building.

• Learning and demonstrating the usage of Prepositions, Possessive Pronouns. Adjectives & Adverbs

• Learning and applying the situational expressions

Level 5

• Learning extended verb patterns

• Comprehending the complex texts in Accounts.
